Here are some more assorted pictures of Ruth’s first couple days, introductions to family members and horseplay with the cousins.

Welp, I’m an uncle again, twice over. Way to go Brian and Nicole and prepare to be superspoiled Caleb and Ava! Gotta get those two kids big enough for sliperslides, taco rides, and the occasional toboggan. Let’s keep it rolling Matt and Sarah, ball’s in your court!

So many videos were made and one was chosen for the buying. What can I say, OfficeMax has bested me. This was my favorite, mostly because of Scott on the hay bale. So here is Me, Dustin, Brian, Scott and Simon the Cat. Enjoy. Christmastime is only 11 months away….

Merry Christmas
Well another year has passed along with a few more changes for the Kreifels. Dustin now has a year of practicing law under his belt. His latest passion is homebrew — we’ve got a basement full of brewing accoutrements and empty bottles. Next up, wine brewing.
Marissa left ConAgra Foods in April and is now working at TD Ameritrade. Oh, and about the broken foot, who would have thought a slip down ONE step the first week in October would STILL be reverberating. It took three weeks before we knew that the foot was broken, and then there were six weeks in a walking cast, unable to drive. Marissa’s out of the cast now and wearing something called a “rocket sock.” Still not anywhere near 100%, but making progress. Hope to have dancing shoes back on in another month or so. I could survive the slip’n’slide and can’t walk down a step??
Work around the house has slowed the last few months with the bum foot, but we did get more painting done this year and a lot more planted out in the garden. But for now, we’re loving being in the middle of the holiday season. The Christmas decor is over the top as usual, thanks to some extra help since ladders are currently hazardous to Marissa’s help. Dustin outdid himself on the outdoor lights as well. We have a busy schedule of holiday happenings up until Christmas, so the season is going by WAY too fast as usual.
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Our bad luck followed us to Colorado — our whole trip was gloomy, rainy and cold, so we weren’t able to get too many good shots from the mountains. It was great to see our friends David and Amanda though, and there were some very competitive pitch matches and serious Wii action. Dustin’s already making plans to get back in the Winter for some skiing.
We’ve finally caved and moved to WordPress with the realization that we only update our website once every 6 months. Hopefully this way, we can more easily update you on any exciting happenings and/or our random musings. So here it goes. Latest happening: Big Steve has a laminectomy and not one, but two fusions on Friday. He’s having good moments and not-so-good moments recovering in the hospital, but considering the pain he was tolerating before in many ways this is seeming like a relief. Random musing: Chevy Chase movies from the 80s were pretty damn good. Fletch? That’s good stuff.
